🍁 Foggy River Sunrise | Camping at Spruce Woods | Behind the Scenes Photography Vlog Welcome to another Nomad Outdoor Adventures journey with Photographer Rudi Dueck, filmed in the peaceful early-morning fog of Spruce Woods Provincial Park. This episode begins long before sunrise, stepping out of our cozy yurt into thick mist drifting through the trees and settling heavily over the Assiniboine River valley. The entire world felt quiet, untouched, and perfectly still — the kind of morning every photographer dreams of. 🌫️🌅 As I made my way toward the river, the fog was so dense that every detail glistened. That’s when I came across a spider web stretched between two branches — completely covered in tiny water droplets. Each droplet sparkled in the soft, muted morning light, turning the web into a delicate, natural jewel suspended in the mist. Moments like this remind me why I get up early: the world shows you things most people never see. 🕸️✨ Further down the trail, the wooden bridge came into view just as the sun began to peek over the treetops. Golden rays pierced the fog and drifted across the structure, creating one of the most surreal scenes of the entire morning. I paused, set up my shot, and captured an image that perfectly blended warmth, atmosphere, and stillness — one of my favourite shots from the day. 🌄📸 But the surprises didn’t end there. Just after photographing the bridge, I noticed movement in the distance — a pair of swans gliding silently through the fog. As I turned my camera toward them, they suddenly lifted off, flying low across the river right toward me. I managed to catch them on video as they soared past, wings beating through the mist and chirping as they disappeared into the valley. A rare and unforgettable moment. 🦢🎥 With the sunrise captured and the fog slowly lifting, I hiked back to our campsite where a warm, simple breakfast felt like the perfect way to start the day. After eating, it was time to clean up the yurt we had stayed in — a cozy little home for the night — before packing up our gear and heading out to explore a different trail elsewhere in the park. 🏕️🥞 This vlog brings you along for the entire journey: the fog, the light, the wildlife, the photography, and the quiet moments that turn an early morning into a full outdoor adventure.
